Where are Recaro seats made?
Recaro seats are manufactured in Germany. From there, they are shipped to The Netherlands and converted to marine seats by Sun Marine Seats BV.
They seats seem very expensive - why?
Well in the case of seats with suspension for high speed boats, these are not just bus or truck seats released onto the marine market. Suspension units are modified and tested to suit the lateral forces found at sea and all seats have armrests mounted to a strong base plate, not the seat back - usually the first point where cheap seats fail. Recaro Maritime seats are built to last!
Pedestals and deck rails are made from polished or brushed stainless steel, not aluminium. This is Recaro Maritime's "trademark" material dating back to our roots in super-yacht seating. The slender look is not only elegant but immensly strong.
Do you have a Price List?
No - simply because it would be too long. There's around 15 seats to chose from and because most but not all seat / suspension units / pedestals are inter-changeable it would be confusing. We always suggest you contact us with details of your vessel and we'll find what suits you best.
Will a Recaro Maritime seat fit?
Standard width for the seats measured over the armrests is 720mm which is wider than most seats on the market. This is because the seat is designed to give your body support, not to be squeezed between the armrest brackets like so many others! We can reduce the width of most seats but check with us first.

What height do I need?
Just give us the eye height or sitting height over the deck and we'll provide a pedestal to suit. In addition you will have around 15 to 20 cm height adjustment depending on pedestal type fitted.
Why do I need to fit armrests myself?
It makes transport to us as importer and on to you as customer MUCH cheaper if you attach the armrests (and pedestals/suspension units) yourself. This takes a maximum of 30 minutes (probably less than 5 for the armrests only) and all screws and tools are provided.
What sort of delivery time can I expect?
Unless you are very unlucky, all the seats and accessories you find on these pages are in stock ready for immediate dispatch apart from electric pedestals and deck rails. Anything made to order, special leather for example, delivery is about six weeks.
